Jeremiah Hamilton
Another week had come and gone, and with it the time for another session with one of his favorite students came to pass. Despite the two young women being on the same skill level the 'flavor' of the interactions with Andrea and Aria were almost completely different, which was something that Jeremiah honestly loved; it kept things interesting, which was more than he could ask for on a day to day basis.

The sidhe was waiting upstairs in the gallery area for Aria to arrive as per normal, dressed somewhat down this afternoon in black jeans, boots and a white t-shirt with a red button up shirt over; adding in the chunky black glasses gave the whole ensemble a rockabilly look that he wore surprisingly well.

Aria
*She did ask for an ecourt and took the time to actually make sure how were people at Waypoint doing, and offering her help, of course it she came with enough time to do so, before heading out to Jer's*

*she wore, as always when she was not performing pants, black cargos tonight, with a nice white sweater, just adding a bit more of minding in the dressing because she dind't want to be all slob in the club. Her hair tied up, probably a good thing Sy and her dind't get too scratched, might have problem hard to explain otherwise. But in she went, making her way to the studio with a smile, she SO needed music now* hi!

Jeremiah Hamilton
The escort this time was not Erik for a change - guardian pack alpha's got to alpha sometimes, after all - but the young Walker cliath was able to hold a decent conversation along the way to the club. She gave Aria a little salute as the Kin got out of the car, heading off somewhere nearby to handle some other business.

Jeremiah smiled warmly as Aria made her way inside, giving her a nod. "Hey to you too. Things going well, I hope?"

Aria
They are *she smilled, well they were, there was a black in the horison that had dimmed, so it was getting better. Even if there were sad parts on it, but she was not dwelling on it, She'll give due respect to those gone when time went, is how you honored them* yourself?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Doing very well." He motioned towards the stairs to the club in a 'shall we?' sort of manner, letting her go first and following after her. "Wouldn't call it boring since I try to avoid that sort of thing, but definitely enjoyable in it's relative peacefullness."

Aria
*She moved up as he motioned, but did kinda did on the side so she could still talk to him, a little nod* peace is not as overrated as most think, it can actually be nice.

Jeremiah Hamilton
"It is, yes. Always good to enjoy peace when it comes." He nodded with a small smile, walking side by side with the Fenrir as they headed down into the club proper. "It can be such a rarity in this day and age."

Aria
*Another little nod* specialy in the cities. But is there, if you know how to look for it. or get lucky.

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Indeed. That's part of why I do my best to get to know whatever city I'm in, to find those litle hidey holes that the locals know about." Of course, for him some of the places that he'd known from his time in Seattle before were long gone, but a few had lingered, which was a welcomed surprise.

"Anything in particular that you were wanting to work on today?"

Aria
*she nodded* have you been to a lot of cities?

*and her head tilted, humming, ooh anything! she wanted to sing!, and her mind did try to pin point something, finding herself in that spot in which you just want somethin but can't come up with a specific* hum.... what do you think we have been leaving to the side?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Decent number. I'm from around Boston, but I've been here and there over the years: New York, Chicago, Paris for a little while...was in Austin most recently."

"Hmm..." He thought about that for a moment, heading into the club proper and making his way to the stage where the piano awaited them as he mulled. "Fair question. Are there any particular genres of music that you're interested in branching out into? Know we've stuck mostly with the Broadway staples and what you've been performing here at the club with your brother for the most part."

Aria
ooh... is Chicago as sassy as the movie?

*she smiled at the sight of the piano, following on, itching to touch it, just cause... piano!* hum.... Broadway is nice... could go somewhat more clasical? *well she dind't like much the whole yell and yam of some new music, it wasn't singable anyhow*

Jeremiah Hamilton
He smiled at that, rocking his hand in that 'so-so' sort of manner. "Parts of it, for sure."

Seeing her eye the piano he chuckled, taking a seat at the bench but giving her room to join him if she wished. "Could. I recall you and Sylvester doing The Prayer during your audition; are you familiar with anything else that Bocelli has done - or Josh Groban, for that matter? They both did a rather solid version of that song, in my opinion."

Aria
*she moved on! letting her fingertips 'pet' the piano, trailing as she moved to sit next to him* ooh, I like them both, i've heard Bocelli more... *she things*

I remember too time to say goodbye, that he sang with Sarah Brightman *she thinks, trying to remember another duo with him*

Jeremiah Hamilton
The sidhe thought for a moment before nodding. "Could do that one, although I'd need to pull up the piano music."

Aria
*She smiles* can sing any other you know if you prefer

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Oh, I know the lyrics, but I'd just need to look over the instrumental." He smiled in return. "I have a few things memorized, just not that one."

Aria
*she nods, well there was a LOT of music in the world to memorize it all* okay then

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Back in a second." He hopped up from the piano, heading to one of the doors in the rear of the club that she knew had the backstage area where performers could get ready before they went out on stage, returning with a tablet in hand that he was tapping at along the way. "Let's see what we can find..."

Aria
*she nodded, letting him go as she spin a bit on the sit to watch him go... oi! she was NOT watching that tushy, she was not! spin riiight to piano keys, yeup, that was better, she liked Jeremiah enough as a friend not to want be caught staring! aaaand thankfully him going and coming let her breath a couple times:

And smile when he came with the tablet* ooh! *she giggles* I here I actually thinking you'll go into a magic chest for paper sheet music *she giggled softly and peeked at the table*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Ah...that's at my apartment." He grinned, rejoining her on the stage and sitting back down at the piano bench as he went through the collection of piano music on the tablet for the song he was looking for. "It's a little needy sometimes, so I don't inflict it on anyone else."

Aria
*She giggles again, actually do imagining him seating by such treasure chest full to the brim with old classic sheet music and piano concerts... oh THAT must be a sight* I like old papers, so you know *but she did eye his tablet collection*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"I do too. Have a nice little collection of song books and whatnot, some of them from the turn of the century." He showed her the app he was going through on the tablet, smiling a touch. "Can't knock the new tech sometimes, though."

Aria
Well it does save space *she smiled, watching his app, ooh! that would be one good to have* wait... how did you get turn of the century ones?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Fews different places...old bookstores, estate sales, things like that. Just need to know where to look."

Aria
*she nods, hum... she'll have to hit those .. old bookstores, who would have thought!* bookstores...*she nods*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Mmhmm. You'll never know what you'll find in one of those hole-in-the-wall bookstores." He smiled, finally finding the piece he was looking for in the app and pulling up the sheet music. "Here we go..."

He set the tablet up on the stand for the piano, looking over the music once it was in place. "Alright...think I should be good." He looked to her with a smirk. "Shall we?"

Aria
*She watched him, smiling brighting, and nodding* sure!

Jeremiah Hamilton
Much to his surprise, Jeremiah found himself flagging behind Aria as the duet commenced. Being that off of his game was an unusual thing, but the fact that her performance still soared even with his meager accompaniment did take some of the sting out of it.

When they finished he took a moment to clear his throat then gave her an apologetic look. "Sorry about that...little out of sorts this afternoon, it seems."

Aria
*Truly, she did notice, but she didn't much minded, she simply just enjoyed to sing, and doing so with a friend was always that lifted her spirits... no matter what. So when they ended she kinda 'nudged' him softly with her shoulder* it happens to all *her head tilting* is there something worrying you? maybe if you talk about it, it'll ... well... at least stop bugging you?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"True enough..." He smiled a touch, although she could see that same irritation she had felt during one of their other sessions lingering in the back of his mind: things he should have done better, things of that nature.

He thought a moment, allowing himself a small smirk. "...perhaps. Do have Valentine's Day next week, and I want to make sure everything goes well since it's the first one that I'll be celebrating with my current girlfriend."

Aria
*she could relate to the whole doing better, she knew she could push herself sometimes, so she dind't hold it agaist him. And then blinked, clapping , oh damn cute!* I can help! *she smiled* mean... if you want...

Jeremiah Hamilton
He chuckled a bit at her excited clap, giving a small nod. "May take you up on that. You have anyone special you'll be spending that day with yourself?"

Aria
*she made a little wrinkle of her nose and shook her head* nha...so.. I can plan plenty

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Ah..." He nodded quietly, catching the nose-wrinkle and giving her a curious look. "Not something you're interested in, I take it?"

Aria
eh... *she hummed, her eyes going to the piano* I don't know really... *mean, her options were not options in the end, after all*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"It's not a bad thing, mind you. Some people fall for others easily, while for others it's anything but." He motioned to himself at the second part, smiling quietly. "The important thing is to find a situation that's comfortable for you, and the only person who knows what is would be you."

Aria
*If only that would be so easy... she ...smiled a tad* I guess so *yea, would be nice if she actually fell in love, maybe, so she just changed the subject, before THAT mood took over* SO, how long have you been dating her?

Jeremiah Hamilton
He caught the rather pointed change in subject but decided against pressing the matter; she had her reasons, more likely than not, and he wouldn't make her speak on it if she wasn't comfortable.

"Since October, but it feels like it's been forever." He allowed himself a small smile at that. "We'd met the last time I was in Seattle and ran into each other again not long after I got back into town, then things went from there."

Aria
*she nodded, humming* so.. four months? is not much, *she smiles* but if you are happy that is what matters, right? uh... what have you got planned then?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Not too much, in the grander scheme of things, but we knew each other for a while when I was here before." He nodded, returning the smile with one of his own. "Indeed."

"Few things. That order from the chocolate shop, flowers, dinner...still feeling out what to do after that, though."

Aria
You could take her to the Theater, or the Opera... if she likes those things

Jeremiah Hamilton
"She does, very much so." He nodded. "That had crossed my mind. Nothing wrong with just staying in and enjoying each other's company, either...part of why I haven't pinned anything down yet."

Aria
Well, you can do both! *she smiled* you could buy her favorite opera and pass it on TV or in a big projection.

Jeremiah Hamilton
He looked about ready to say something then paused, a proper smile forming as the idea quickly took root. "That...is an excellent idea. Would have to see if I could get the production in question in time, but that would be perfect."

Aria
I bet if you cant buy it physically, you can buy it online *she smiled, happy she could help!*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"True, but it'd be a question of getting it here by Wednesday." He grinned, that 'I could hug you' look very clear on his features but resisting the urge for the moment. "Thank you."

Aria
*She smiled brightly* I'm just happy to help, and you'll have to tell me if she liked it or not *she grins, and nudge him friendly-shly, it made her happy that he liked the idea*

Jeremiah Hamilton
The sidhe chuckled at the nudge, giving a light one in return. "I certainely will."

Aria
*She beamed, with a nod* good. *and reached to kinda of just flip a happy tune on the piano, it was just something light, childish even*

Jeremiah Hamilton
Jeremiah made no move to stop her from playing, seeing what she could call forth from the keys on her own. It was a little...disjointed, truth be told, and after a bit his hands settled on the lower keys. His contribution gave the impromptu piece a bit more structure, giving her something to work around but keeping the light airiness that she was going for intact.

Aria
*Well her chaotic mess made her giggle, though she did fall into HIS rhythm when he moved in, ooh! just hiding her face behind her palms when they were finished with a blushy giggle* oi! that was terrible! wasn't it?!

Jeremiah Hamilton
He laughed at her sudden shyness, shaking his head with a grin. "Not at all. It came from your heart, without the mind getting in the way."

Aria
*She peered at him through her fingers* and sounded like a poor mistreated bird fleeing from a cat

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Every piece of music starts as a pile of chords in someone's head, after all." The smile remained as she peeked out at him from behind her hand, giving her a little wink. "Just the question of getting them properly arranged."

Aria
hummm *oi! she closed the 'window' and breathed once, then twice, before lowering her hands, quite red!* I dunno, maybe I'm not good at making things up

Jeremiah Hamilton
"No such thing. In my opinion, the only people that are bad at creating things are that way because they stopped listening to that little spark of wonder in their heart. Even if what you make isn't perfect right off the bat, you still made something that hadn't existed before that very moment."

"That, honestly, is the most important thing of all." He looked to the blushing Fenrir with a smile. "Taking that first step and putting yourself out there; even if you don't know what will come of it, the path it takes you down will always be an interesting one, and you may learn things that you didn't expect."

Aria
*She smiled, yea, still feeling all embarrassed just right then* Guess so... mean it definitively sounded better in my head

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Then you know what to aim for." He gave her a nod, motioning to the keys in an 'after you' sort of way. "You've got the base clay in hand and the finished vase in your mind; see what you can do to shape it, but don't hesitate to change the final design if you find something better along the way."

Aria
*she made a little gesture, now unsure about it, biting her lips* what if it comes out even more horrible?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Creation is never an easy process, but that difficulty is what makes it worth it." He gave her a reassuring smile. "It may, or it may not, but you'll never know until you try."

Aria
oi *she smiled, letting her fingers 'brush' the piano keys* have you ever produced... made up anything?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"All the time." He tapped his temple lightly, smirking. "Always have little snippets of songs running here and there, waiting to be put to paper."

Aria
*She nods* I'm always humming things... but is the first time I've tried playing...

Jeremiah Hamilton
"No better time to start than now."

Aria
*she hmmed* alright... but... *a huff, nop, she was so sure, but she did... let her fingers touch the keys again... thinking about it a moment... before she... gave it a second, not so sure and not so impulsive try*

Management:
0 | 02/11/2018 2:42 am Aria has rolled an presence 3 + expression 4 + 2 SL + speciatly roll (10 dice), getting 6, 4, 1, 10, 4, 4, 3, 10, 5, 6, 2, 4, with a difficulty of 8 on a 10 sided die. Aria has 2 successes.

Jeremiah Hamilton
Jeremiah remained quiet as she gave it another go, keeping his hands off the keys; this was her path to walk, at least at the moment. A quiet smile grew as she played, nodding along to the melodies that began to emerge.

Aria
*She seemed to concentrate a little bit, breathing when it didn't come out as a squeacky cat.... still not like she imagined it, but better, that was a given, she then smiled, blushing again* ok.... I didnt kill a cat this time...

Jeremiah Hamilton
"No, you did not." He chuckled, giving her a nod. "Keep playing with it, see where it takes you; I'd love to hear it you think it's ready."

Aria
*she just blushed more* I'm not sure! it was just... a whim... really

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Some of the best pieces I've ever written started out that way, honestly. All it takes is that little seed to grow."

Aria
yea.. but... they were geniuses, you know?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"You don't give yourself nearly enough credit, Aria." He gave her a quiet look at that. "You're one of the most talented young women I've ever had the pleasure of working with."

Aria
*She did blush some more about that* I dunno, mean I love music, it makes life worth, and it makes me happy, but... I feel like an amateur, I haven't really gotten any real education, aside form what Sy and I managed to get here and there.

Jeremiah Hamilton
"You have the heart, though, and that is usually the more important part. Trust me, I've met people that I could shove a lifetime of music theory into their heads and get nothing in return for it." He shook his head, looking back to her; the same wellspring of talent that had been within his first proper student dwelled within the young Fenrir, and he would be damned if he repeated the same mistakes with Aria as he had with her.

"I'd be more than happy to work with you more on the technical side of things if you'd like, and if you think it would help develop your talents further."

Aria
*She bit her lower lip slightly, again gently brushing the keys on the piano before looking to him, she was still quite reddish* Really think I can do that?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"I do indeed." He gave her a warm smile at that. "Like I said, I think you sell yourself too short sometimes."

Aria
Well.. is just... I'm better at being rough and fiesty *she kinda smiles* music... isn't something that my family is much into, with Sy's and myself exceptions... so.. sometimes... is just... *she shrugs a bit*

Jeremiah Hamilton
He nodded quietly. "I've had other students in similar situations, where their passion for music was seen as less important or frivolous by their family members. I disagreed, of course, and I wager that you do as well." He watched her for a moment. "You've made this something of your own that you can hold onto, which makes pursuing it all the more important."

Aria
*She nodded, with a smile, yea... mean not that they were criticized for singing, just it wasn't something anyone would consider important, outside Sy and her. It was theirs, the one thing they could really decide on, right?. She nodded* It is a part of me, I don't think I could ever stop singing.

Jeremiah Hamilton
"And if God is good, you never will stop." He smiled, giving her a nod. "I can tell how much you enjoy it, both you and your brother."

Aria
*She nods, smiling warmly* We have always. I don't think we would ... be ourselves wtihout it. *she grins* I used to teas Sy with Disney songs.. still do sometimes

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Oh?" He chuckled. "Which ones, out of curiosity?"

Aria
*She giggles* well I do once start to sing Mermaid's Kiss the Girl when he had a crush...

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Nice choice..." He nodded with a smile. "Always loved the work that Ashman and Menken did together."

Aria
*she nods, grinning* is one of my favorite in terms of songs, I used to like Anastasia too when I was real small.

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Another good one." He paused a moment, then looked to her with a smirk. "Once Upon a December? That one I do know off-hand..."

Aria
ooh! I love that one! is both melancholic and full of emosion

Jeremiah Hamilton
"That it is." His hands went back to the keys, playing a bit of the opening chords as he continued. "Shall we?"

Aria
*she beamed, nodding enthusiastically* sure!

Jeremiah Hamilton
He returned the smile, skilled hands calling the music forth for her to sing alongside; he even hummed the harmony here and there, but let her have the spotlight as he often did. He had always liked the song anyway, but after his own recent brush with nearly-lost memories it resonated more than it had before.

Management:
0 | 02/11/2018 3:48 am Aria has rolled an presence 3 + expression 4 + 2 SL + speciatly roll (10 dice), getting 1, 8, 5, 2, 8, 6, 5, 3, 2, 3, with a difficulty of 8 on a 10 sided die. Aria has 2 successes.

Aria
*She sang on with him, probably a bit distracted, as it was not the pristine tone she usualy pulled, but it was clear enough, probably, in her case, more than loosing memories, thinking on a few she would not mind get rid off*

Jeremiah Hamilton
As the song finished he looked to her with a smile, giving a little nod. "Nicely done."

Aria
*She made that rueful little smile when she wasn't totatly happy about a song* nhu uh! but thank you

Jeremiah Hamilton
He gave her a little "I see what you did there, madame" look at the smile, smirking slightly. "Very welcome."

Aria
*She wrinkles her nose* well.. it wasn't perfect... and now I complain.. I think I'm a complainy little brat today

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Not in the slightest." He shook his head. "I would rather you notice where you can improve, so you know what to do next time."

Aria
*she nodded, humming* maybe I'm just distracted tonight

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Perhaps. Seems we're both a little out of it today." He nodded, looking to her with a small smirk. "Happens now and again."

Aria
*she nods, humming* we need chocolate *that made her giggle*

Jeremiah Hamilton
The smirk shifted to a proper smile, joined by a chuckle. "That's an idea I can get behind."

Aria
*she nods, moving up* lets then *smiling, oh chocolate was always a good thing!*

Jeremiah Hamilton
He nodded, standing from the bench and picking up the tablet from the stand on the piano. "Let me get this put up first; meet you upstairs?"

Aria
alright! *she nodded, and moved on, to wait him upstairs*

Jeremiah Hamilton
Once the tablet was stored away in the back area of the club Jeremiah made his way upstairs, humming a bit of that melody that Aria had come up with along the way. There was some promise to the piece, after all, and his mind being what it was he had already started to play with that base clay himself.

He looked to her with a smile, motioning to the door out before heading that way himself. "Allons y, as the French like to say."

Aria
*she had been waiting, herself humming too, as she was done to do when her mind wandered, and when it didn't too... looking his way she grinned* or Dr. Who *nodding as she prepared to follow him on*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Oh?" He gave her a curious look at that as they headed out to his car. "That something from the newer series, I'm guessing?"

Aria
*she nods, then makes a so-so gesture* not so new... been going since the 60s I think, died, revived, and is up now

Jeremiah Hamilton
"That's what I mean." He chuckled. "I knew they'd revived it, but I haven't watched it really."

Aria
ooh *she nods* well I saw a few chapters... not much of a TV person, but I found it funny

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Good to know. Liked what I saw of the old series." God, when had that been...he had been in London, he knew that much...he mentally put a pin in the thought to check in his journals when he got back to the apartment later that night.

Once they got to the car he held open the door for her as he tended to, waiting until she was settled before he headed to the driver's side and got in himself.

Aria
*She followed him on to the car, nodding* I haven't seen any of the old ones... mean... they are ooooold...*she tilted her head, peeking to him, and she did thank him for opening the door, settling, then going* did they still passed it on? *mean he dind't look THAT old after all... oh! the cute, hot part? could it be they got that old? like spirits?*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"They did. Know the BBC dusts off the older episodes now and again." He nodded, smirking a bit as he pulled the car out of the parking spot and got on the road towards Pioneer Square.

Aria
hum... I didn't know the show till they pull the tenth doctor.. had to peek a bit behind truth be told... thing is ooooooold

Jeremiah Hamilton
"It started in the 60s, so pretty old, yeah." Not that he had any room to talk, of course...

Aria
*she nodded* did you know they made the Dalkes inspired by a salt shaker?

Jeremiah Hamilton
He paused a moment, smirking slightly. "Can't say that I did, although I can see it."

Aria
*she nods* there was a documental.. no one was listening to the girl in charge of it, so she had to improvise with everything

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Hmm." He nodded. "It's always interesting to hear the little backstage stories like that. Plays, movies, TV shows, all those little tidbits that helped to make something iconic."

Aria
*she nods* yup... I found it interesting *she smiled* I like backstage gossip

Jeremiah Hamilton
"I've always done my best not to partake, but sometimes you can't help but listen in on whatever rumors are going around." He chuckled quietly. "Part of doing that kind of work, really."

Aria
Well.... being part of the gossip is not nice, but hearing it.... I think that's ok

Jeremiah Hamilton
"True enough. I made a point of not spreading it, though; that can get rather sticky if you're not careful."

Aria
Well... is more on the side of hearing...*she nods* but anyhow I mostly like movie gossip, real life one can get.... not pleasant... at all

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Mmhmm. Managed to avoid that for the most part, thankfully." Barring one...particularly notable exception, anyway. "Still happens now and again, though."

As they approached the shop Jeremiah pulled the car into a nearby parking spot, glancing over to the shop with a small smirk. "Here's hoping that we don't have another irate gentleman to deal with this time..."

Aria
*she nods* oi.. you MUST have all kinds of things said...*now that she thought about it!* that really must be not nice

*and a look out, then to him* don't worry... I'm still up to kick some manly screamers if need to

Jeremiah Hamilton
"The nightlife business can be pretty damn cutthroat, yes." He nodded, moving to get out of the car and open her door unless she beat him to it. "I keep everything above board, though, so most things that people try to throw my way never stick."

Aria
*she nods, well she wasn't used to cars being opened for her, so she might actually beat him to it, humming* I had not really thought on that part, to be honest

Jeremiah Hamilton
Seeing her get to the door first he smirked, moving to walk beside her into the shop instead. "It's not something that the public really hears about until someone's dirty laundry hits the newspapers, so that's not too much of a surprise."

Aria
hum.... but that is mean... well I know.. don't do good things that seem bad, but... your private life is your private life

Jeremiah Hamilton
"My thoughts exactly, but there are some that don't see it that way. Which is a shame, really."

Aria
*she nodded* it is... it really is *she pursed her lips, and there was nothing you could do about that, cause.... well reporters were a pest*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"I do the best I can to stay out of that particular morass, though." The sidhe opened the door to the shop for her as they reached it, letting her go in first before following.

He took a deep breath as they entered, smiling as he looked to Aria. "For now, though, let's think on less unpleasant things."

Aria
*She did move in with a soft thanks, and a smile at the sight of chocolate! nodding* yup! *she looked on for some of the chocolate she had gotten last time, maybe a little box for her and Sy!*

Jeremiah Hamilton
The woman behind the counter - albeit a different one from the last visit - was more than happy to help Aria make her selections. Jeremiah took a moment to look over the choices as well, internally eyeing the knave as it started needling him to indulge more than he usually would.

Aria
*She did made a fruity selection with half or what she thought Sy would like! just a small box though.... you know what? nha, a medium, Sy also needed a bit pampering now*

*peering to JEre once her box was selected* what are you having now?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Need a bit of a pick me up after today, I think..." He smirked, looking over to Aria briefly before turning to the woman behind the counter. "I'll take a six-count, half milk chocolate espresso and half single malt."

Aria
*she nods* sometimes one needs it... seriously needs it

Jeremiah Hamilton
The clerk moved to pull the box from the stack, but paused as Jeremiah put a hand up. "On second thought...make it a dozen. Still 50/50, though."

She gave a nod and grabbed the larger box, getting both of them packed and wrapped in short order. "Will that be all for you today?"

Aria
yes on my part *she smiled, mean she should nto spend more than that on chocolate, after all*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"That'll be it, thank you." Jeremiah nodded, moving towards the register as the clerk migrated there as well. He pulled a card from his wallet once there, covering the cost of both boxes unless Aria stepped in for her own.

Aria
*well she clearly inteded to pay for her own, she could not abuse of him! it would be bad mojo for the friendship, after all, but she did thank him for the intention*

Jeremiah Hamilton
He smirked as she got her own money out, letting her pay for her own without issue. "No worries."

Once the boxes were bagged up he did take the bag, giving the clerk a nod and a smile before heading for the door out.

Aria
thanks! *to the clerk, moving on with Jer then* You know... we should make a chocolate party someday

Jeremiah Hamilton
"I have done those before, actually. Usually a combination of wine tasting and chocolate pairings, although you're a little young for that." He smirked, giving her a little nudge as they headed out of the shop. "They can be entertaining, though."

Aria
hei! I'm eighteen already *giving him a look, kinda almost pouty one*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"And the legal drinking age is 21, last I checked." He chuckled, giving her an amused look in return. "Have to keep up appearances, after all."

Aria
*she puffed* not in Germany.....

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Well, we're not in Germany." He smirked, opening the door for the car and letting her get settled before taking his own seat. "Need to go by the laws of the land, alas."

Aria
*she did move into the car, with a small sigh* well its unfair

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Blame the Prohibition, then." He chuckled, setting the bag of chocolates down in the back of the car before getting back on the road again. "Most states didn't even have a minimum age before that point."

Aria
really? well it does suck... I get the whole try to avoid teenagers to get drunk, but I don't see any wrong in a little taste from time to time.

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Oh, I'm right there with you; I had my first proper drink rather young as well, but it was at home with my father present. Out in public, though? I'd rather not chance it."

Aria
Yea... we've gotten tastes home too... but nothing that would be big. *she hummed, pouting* laws are boring *grining a tad afterwards*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Inclined to agree on most counts, especially with how some of them are enforced." He shook his head. "They are a necessary evil, though."

Aria
yea... guess so *she said leaning a bit on the seat* still an boring evil too *she smiled* but is fine... not something I do often enough to really get upset about it

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Fair enough. I don't drink too much myself these days, honestly; indulged a little too heavily when I was younger and I try not to get back into that habit."

Aria
Really? *she blinked* can't imagine you drinking off.. mean with a cup yea.. but drinking off... nop

Jeremiah Hamilton
Jeremiah allowed himself a wry smile at that, nodding. "I was quite the little hellion when I was younger, won't lie. Was able to pull myself out of that particular spiral, though."

Aria
*She again looked his way... hellion and younger... she could not help but wonder about the age again, mean she was kind of picturing with baby clothes about ten being all the rucky gangster... DAMN! That's too cute! she looked away!* You really don't look that old to have the whole younger bits yets

Jeremiah Hamilton
He chuckled, looking over to her briefly. "I'll be 28 in a few months, so I've got a bit of time in there. I'll take the compliment, though."

Aria
Really? *blinking, ten years older? her head tilted wondiering* yeup, not looking that old

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Thank you." He smiled a touch. "The years have been rather kind overall." If only she knew how kind...

Aria
*a little nod* time is fickle though, like a crazy cat... so maybe this particular cat likes you

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Perhaps....seems that way, at least. No complaints on my end, of course."

Aria
*she nods* I'll prolly become a wrinkly old hag at 28 *She grins, if she lived that long*

Jeremiah Hamilton
He let out a little pfft at that, shaking his head. "That I seriously doubt."

Aria
*She giggles, looking his way* WELL, you know.... I might develop gray hair, and I'll have to dye it purple, and then I'll look all sassy and... yea no.. I can't keep that line of thought

Jeremiah Hamilton
"I don't know...think you could pull off the purple rather well." He chuckled. "Seen some rather interesting dye jobs all around, and most of them looked pretty good on them."

Aria
*she blinks, gigling, she had been kidding!* nha... maybe pink lines, but not all purple

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Either way, could see that looking rather good on you."

Aria
really? *she wrinkled her nose, unsure* might be too much

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Could always do a little test section on part that's not fully visible, in theory." He moved one hand to briefly indicate the area behind his right ear. "That way you can see what it looks like but cover it easily enough."

Aria
hum....*she saw the part he motioned to, touch her own hair, and trailing to look at the color* dunno... I WAS really just crazily babbling... tends to happen, you know? I have just been trying to be less babbly around you.

Jeremiah Hamilton
He nodded quietly. "There are some circumstances where being a little more restrained is a good thing, but don't feel that you have to do so around me, at least in more casual situations like this. I'd rather you be comfortable."

Aria
*she smiles* I know, just, you seemed more serious at first, mean... I don't know

Jeremiah Hamilton
"'When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.'" He said with a small smile, looking over to her for a moment. "Be yourself, in all that entails; that's the best I can ask of you."

Aria
*THAT made her smile, damn, he was cute AND cool* alright *nodding* just be warned... I can be VERY babbly.. sometimes, I think it depends on my mood, or things around, or if I'm nervous, I dunno, but I can bable off

Jeremiah Hamilton
"I'll keep that in mind." He nodded with a smile. "An active mind is a far better thing than an inactive one, in my opinion."

Aria
yea... not everyone feels the same... but I'm glad you do

Jeremiah Hamilton
"More fools they, say I." He pulled the car into a parking spot by the club, grabbing the bag with the chocolates before looking to her with a small smile. "And you're very welcome."

Aria
*She smiles as he says the very welcome, it was a shame, hot-cool. spirity boys were actually awesome it seemed, aaaand nodded, before moving out of his car* SO! chocolate and wine party? *she grinned a tad mischievously*

Jeremiah Hamilton
He actually laughed at that, giving her an amused look as he stepped out of the car. "You wanting to get me in trouble? I do have cameras running in here..."

Aria
*she grins* turn them off....*smiling* nha I'm joking, I'll be happy with all chocolate

Aria
thought... let me save for it first, then I'll invite you to the chocolate party

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Sounds like a plan to me." He nodded with a smile, leading her back into the gallery area before heading downstairs once again.

Aria
*She grins, following him up, thinking HOW exactly to come up with this chocolate party she now seriously wanted, she'll have to talk to Sy* You know... now I can't shake of an image of you about ten dressed like a bad ass gangster *SO CUTE! damn mind, damn you!*

Jeremiah Hamilton
His head tilted a bit as that mental image arose, then chuckled. "That is a rather amusing thought. I will admit to having gone the 50s biker gang route for a costume party once or twice, though; leather jacket, hair done back, the works."

Aria
oh really?! do you have a picture? *oh GOSH, just picturing that was... GACK! don't blush! don't blush! yea.. piano, think on music, yea.. that*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Not on me, unfortunately. I'll see if I can find it and bring it next time, though."

Once down in the club proper he headed towards the bar rather than the stage, motioning for her to take a seat as he placed the bag on the bartop and slid in behind it. "Care for something to drink?"

Aria
*She did follow, her head tilting as he move dto the bar, oh? * thought you had cameras? *grinning a tad*

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Something non-alcoholic." He chuckled, getting a glass for himself and filling it with water before looking back to her with a smirk.

Aria
bhoo, boring *she giggled* so can I have then chocolate milk?

Jeremiah Hamilton
"That I can do." He pulled another glass as well as a small container of milk, putting some of the cocoa powder they used on the rim of some of the cocktails into the glass first before pouring the milk in and giving it a good solid stir with a bar spoon. "One velvet Presley, hold the bourbon."

Aria
*THAT made her giggle, taking the glass* well thank you... Velvet Presley? really? didn't even know a chocolatey drink existed

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Quite a few, actually." He took a moment to rinse off the bar spoon and put everything back in its place before rejoining her on the other side of the bar, water glass set down in front of the seat he chose for himself. "More likely than not, if it's something that's made its way into a desert then someone's tried to make a cocktail out of it."

Aria
thanks *as she took it, too, and then she nodded* well point... I did hear about chocolatey liquor admittedly... then again.. its chocolate, if they don't put in on EVERYTHING, they are missing out

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Indeed." He nodded with a chuckle, taking the boxes out of the bag and sliding hers over to her. "Admittedly, I don't actually have that much of a sweet tooth, either. Didn't have them much when I was growing up and never really developed the craving for them either."

"Probably a good thing, though; need to maintain my girlish figure and all." He gave her a wink at that, taking one of the chocolates from his box and lifting it in a small salute. "Cheers."

Aria
*She nods* I've always have had a sweet tooth, Sy used to sneak chocolates of rme all the time *she smiled slightly, almost seeming... saddned? yea Sy had to sneak them in, they'll eat them in the close, if dad was home... she shook her head real fast, and smiled, gigginling at the girlish figure* WELL I know for a fact, running very morning saves one from a lot of chocolate afterness *she smiled, grinning, oh*

*She took her box, and did grab one to 'toast' with him* for chocolate and its goodness

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Ah...good on him." He nodded, noticing that brief flicker of sadness but letting it pass without comment.

"And to good company." He took a bite of the truffle he had chosen, sitting back in the chair as the combination of dark chocolate and single malt made its way down. "Very nice..."

Aria
*She got a cherry dark one, bitting is and just letting it melk in her mouth for a bit with a content sigh, smiling at his 'toast'. She really liked this moment, truth be told* here here *she said softly*

Jeremiah Hamilton
He polished off the truffle with a second bite, eyeing the box briefly as he mulled over getting another but decided against it, taking a sip of his water instead. "I will say that this has been a rather pleasant afternoon on my end. Hope that it's been the same for you."

Aria
*She took another little bite, not wanting to verdo it because if she did, she'll leave Sy without any chocolate. But she smiled* it has been amazing! *she nodded* thank you

Jeremiah Hamilton
"Glad to hear it." He smiled warmly. "And you're quite welcome."

Aria
*she nods, smiling, it was a good day*
